Frederike Helwig

Some really nice work from German photographer Frederike Helwig, it has a nice simple honesty not unlike Terry Richardson’s work although has less of that heroin hangover feel, if you know what I mean (I’m not saying that is a bad thing by the way, his work is unstoppable). Check out Frederike’s portoflio here.

POKE launch GlastoTag for Orange

Did any of your mates go to Glastonbury? (unfortunately I did not) If they did then they should find this rather interesting, its essentially a billion pixel image taken from the famous Pyramid stage during the England vs. Slovenia game (when times were much happier). The idea was to make the biggest, most tagged photo on Facebook photo ever. So have a cheeky look and if you spot someone you know, tag ‘em. Click here to view the site and get tagging, we are hoping to break the world record.

Hyper-Realistic Acrylic Body Painting

Alexa Meade thinks completely backwards. Most artists use acrylic paints to create portraits of people on canvas. But not Meade – she applies acrylic paints on her subjects and makes them appear to be a part of the painting! Incredible… to read and view more pictures click here.

Le Tour by Brent Humphreys

An old favourite of mine today from last year, a beautiful collection of photographs by Brent Humphreys from Tour De France. A sunny slice of eye candy on an otherwise rainy day, If you haven’t seen it before check out the link here.
